This class with Karolina-Anna Hajna and Janet Hinkle of Hinkleville Handmade will cover the basics of handbuilding and building ceramic flowers. You will be taught the necessary techniques and helpful tips to develop your very own style and approach to handbuilding. Participants will learn how to build ceramic poppies petal by petal resulting in decorative flowers for your home and/or a more durable pin to wear for Rememberance day or year round.
Great for all skill levels. No previous experience required.
All essential materials and services (tools, clay, glazes, protective clothing, kiln firing) are included. Each participant will be provided with 2 gold plated, nickle free pin backs. Extra pin backs available at an additional cost.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Karolina-Anna Hajna is a practicing ceramicist who attended Kwantlen Polytechnic University (Fine Arts) and graduated from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University (NSCAD). She currently works on her own artistic practice, creating beautiful ceramics inspired by flora and underwater sea life.
Janet Hinkle is a Toronto based artist who graduated from the York University Fine Arts (Visual Arts -Studio) Program. She founded Hinkleville Handmade in 2015, focusing on small batch, handmade Canadian goods.
